What kind of food should you eat? What you eat that you become. Eating right kind of Food is a very important aspect of your life.
Food is not religion, there might be cultural aspects to the taste depending on geographical area.
It is like a fuel for the body. Right kind of food is important to keep your body and mind active and efficient.
Not just eating the right kind of food alone is sufficient, the right way of eating food is also as important as the right kind of food.
It is something like if you put impure petrol/diesel to your vehicle, the engine may get damaged. The same way what type of food you eat decides your body and mind function.
What you eat is more important especially for the students and professionals whose work demands high focus and high efficiency.
There are 3 types of food, TAMAS (Tamasika), RAJAS ( Rajasika) and SATVA (Satvika).
In Yogic science TAMAS means – Inertia, RAJAS means – Activity, but no balance and SATVA means – Absolutely balanced kind of energy.
In a student (watch the video) life or professionals who need lots of focus and a balanced steady mind. Human body needs half digested food before it gets into the gut. That means you must chew the food in the mouth properly, then you have to swallow.
What are we eating?
Right now, mostly we are putting undigested and highly refined food into our body. We are eating more food than required to produce required energy. Hence the body needs more inertia. More inertia means more sleep hours. More sleep hours means the body will become more lethargic.
What we have to eat?
30% – 40% of your food should be in live form. That means raw vegetables, fruits, nuts and sprouts. 20% – 30% should be boiled and remaining 10% to 15% can be cooked food or fried food. With this your mind will be more alert, more focused.
Conscious eating can reduce your sleeping hours to 1 to 2 hrs per day. That means you are increasing your productivity and growth 1 to 2 hrs per day 7 days a week.
