The law of least EFFORT is one of the laws Spiritual laws of success. The law of least effort is based on the fact that nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease and abandoned carefreeness.

The EFFORT

In general terms, the effort is the degree of measurement of how much work you are putting into something. Then what is that something ? It can be any kind of achievement from a point A to point B.

In science effort is defined as the use of physical or mental energy, the act of the result of trying to do something. Example of effort is someone using their brain to make a plan.

For any kind of effort, it needs energy either physically or mentally. It is most important how much less or how efficiently (kindly don’t take this in the wrong sense. Less energy does not mean not doing anything..) we spend our energy to achieve something in our day-to-day life. This purely determines our growth and accomplishment in our life.

Whether you are a student, professional, team lead, head of the organisation or entrepreneur or even home maker. Effort is the most important activity of our life, isn’t it true?

Nature

Let us learn about the least EFFORT from nature. If you observe nature at work, you can see that least effort is expended.

Grass doesn’t try to grow, it just grows. Fish don’t try to swim, they just swim. Birds don’t try to fly, they fly. And likewise, it is also human nature to make our dreams manifest into physical form easily and effortlessly.

Nature’s intelligence functions effortlessly, frictionlessly, spontaneously. It is non-linear, it is intuitive, holistic, and nourishing. The law of least effort will come to your experience, only when you are in harmony with nature, when you are established in the knowledge of your true Self.

Wasting Energy

When we seek power and control over other people, you waste energy. When you seek money or power for the sake of ego, you spend energy chasing the illusion of happiness in the moment instead of enjoying happiness.

When you seek money for your personal gain, you cut off the flow of energy to yourself, and interfere with the expression of nature’s intelligence.

Attention to the ego consumes the greatest amount of energy. When your internal reference point is the ego, when you seek power and control over other people or seek approval from others, you spend energy in a wasteful way.

Channelising our Energy to accomplish with least effort

Least effort is expended when our actions are motivated by love, because the nature is held together by the energy of love.

When our actions are motivated by love, our energy multiplies and accumulates. The surplus energy we gather and enjoy can be channelised to create anything that we want, this even includes unlimited wealth.

We know, our physical body is like a device for controlling energy. Every day, our body generates fresh energy..  –>

(you might be observed, when you get up in the morning, you feel so energetic and ready to take up any kind of task. As time passes, our mind start getting corrupted and you start feeling slowly your energy is getting drained by end of the day)

–> .. likewise, our body can store and expend energy. If we know how to generate, store and expend energy in an efficient way, then we can create any amount of wealth (wealthy does not only mean money!).

When our internal reference point is our own spirit, when we are immune to criticism and unfearful of challenge, we can harness the power of love, and use energy creatively for evolution.

Three things we can do to put this principle of “do less and accomplish more”

There are three components we can identify in order to achieve the Law of Least EFFORT.

First

The first component is acceptance. The acceptance simply means that I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be.

This moment — the one which you are experiencing right now, is the culmination or result of all the moments we have experienced in the past. This moment is as it is because the entire universe is as it is.

When we struggle against this moment, you are actually struggling against the entire universe.

“Your acceptance of this moment should be total and complete”

It is important to understand that you can wish for things in the future to be different, but in this moment you have to accept things as they are.

“When we feel frustrated or upset with a person or situation, remember that we are not reacting to the person or the situation, but to our own feelings about the person or situation. These are our feelings, our feelings are not someone else’s fault.  When we recognise and understand this completely and accept the things as they are,  you are ready to take responsibility for your situation and for all the events you see as a problem.”

Second

The second component is responsibility. Responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for your situation, including yourself. It is important.

When we accept this circumstance, this event, this problem. Then, you will have the ability to respond to the situation as it is now without blame game.

All problems contain the seeds of opportunity. Once you practice responsibility, our upsetting situation will become an opportunity for creation of something new and beautiful.

Whenever we are confronted by a tyrant, tormentor, teacher, friend or foe (these all mean the same, only the difference is their physical forms) remind yourself “This moment is as it should be.”

In reality, whatever relationship you have attracted in your life at this moment are the ones you need in your life at this moment. There is a hidden meaning behind all events, and the meaning is serving your own evolution.

Third

The third component is defenselessness. That means, you must relinquish the need to convince  or persuade others of your point of view.

Observe yourself and people around us, we see that they spend ninety-nine percent of time defending their point of view. When we become defensive, blame others, and do not accept and surrender to the moment, our life meets resistance.

When you have no point to defend, you do not allow the birth of an argument. When you do this consistently and when you stop fighting and resisting you will fully experience the present, which is a GIFT

When (When..?) you embrace the present and become one with it, and merge with it, you will experience a fire, a glow, a sparkle of ecstasy throbbing in every living being. As you begin to experience the exultation of spirit in everything that is alive and as you become intimate with it, joy will bron within you and will become lighthearted, carefree, joyous, and FREE.

“The past is history, the future is a mystery, and this moment is a GIFT”

Abstract – The Law of Least Effort

When you remain open to all points of view – not rigidly attached to only one – your dreams and desires will flow with nature’s desires. Then you can release your intentions, without attachment, and just wait for the appropriate season for your desires to blossom into reality. You can be sure that when the season is right , your desires will manifest. This is the Law of Least Effort

Quick steps to bring Law of Least Effort to bring into practice in our daily lives

  1. Practice Acceptance: Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. I accept the things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.
  2. Take responsibility for my situation: I will take Responsibility for my situation and for all  those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation. I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise.
  3. Defenselessness: I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

About spiritual laws of success

I was reading an article on success, in which someone mentioned about the book called ‘The seven spiritual laws of success’ by Deepak Chopra. Till that time, I was reading a lot on how to become successful in life, how to earn money, how one should be focused  towards success.

One must read this book. Even though I read it, I still spend time to ponder over deep thoughts presented by an author in the book and try to understand it.

Based upon my little understanding of what I pursued, I prepared a gist of it for you.

Hope you enjoyed the article. In the next article we will ponder over “The Law of Intention and Desire”.
