The law of Intention and Desire is based on the fact that energy and information exist everywhere in nature.
In the beginning there was desire, which was the first seed of mind; sages, having meditated on their hearts, have discovered by their wisdom the connection of existent with non-existent.
– The Hymn of Creation, The Rig Veda
At the level of the quantum field, there is nothing other than energy and information. The quantum field is just another label for the field of pure consciousness and pure potentiality. And this quantum field is influenced by intention and desire.
The quantum field
In a quantum field theory, what we perceive as particles are excitations of the quantum field itself. … In it, two fields exist: the “electromagnetic field” and the “electron field”. These two fields continuously interact with each other, energy and momentum are transferred, and excitations are created or destroyed
The energy and information
Anything, a flower, a rainbow, a tree, a blade of grass, a human body, when broken down to their essential components, are energy and information. The only difference between trees and us is the informational and energy content of our respective body.
We already know that every second in the human body, the cell will be replaced by a new cell, that is what is explained in quantum field theory what happens at subatomic level.
Do you know? The average body makes about 2 to 3 million red blood cells every second, or about 173 to 259 billion red blood cells per day.
I guess you might be thinking, how all this is relevant to this article. It is very important to understand the fundamentals to understand the meaning of the field with respect to the human body.
The building blocks
On the material level, both us and trees are made up of the same recycled elements: mostly carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and other elements.
The difference between us and trees is not these elements, the real difference is in the energy and information. In fact trees and us constantly exchange carbon and oxygen.
Human being, a privileged species of the earth
In the scheme of nature we are privileged species. We have a nervous system that is capable of becoming aware of energy and information. The content of that localised field is our physical body (host).
We experience this field subjectively as our own thoughts, feelings, emotions, desires, memories, instincts, drives, and beliefs. This same field is experienced objectively as the physical body – and through the physical body, we experience this field as the world. But it is all the same stuff.
That is why ancient seers exclaimed
“I am that, you are that, all this is that, and that’s all there is”
Since, the field of the stone / rock and human body is of the same field. Hence, ancient seers/saints carved stone as a statue and consecrated it using their same field – called thoughts, feelings, emotions, desires, instincts, drives and beliefs. – there is no answer for this in science… yet
Examples are our ancient temples, they are like living beings with the field, the only difference is they don’t have human-like physical bodies and nervous systems.
Our Body / Human Body
Our body is not separate from the body of the universe, because at the quantum mechanics level there are no well-defined edges. We are like wiggle, a wave, a fluctuation, a convolution, a whirl pool, a localised disturbance in the larger quantum field. Further the larger quantum field is the Universe – is our extended body.
Human nervous system
As mentioned above, our nervous system is not only capable of becoming aware of the information and energy of its own quantum field.
Through our nervous system our consciousness is infinitely flexible to consciously change the informational content that gives rise to the physical body.
Hence, we can influence the energy and informational content of our extended body – that is, our environment, our society, our world and cause things to manifest in it.
Attention and intention
How we can influence the energy and informational content consciously in order to get our desired intention to our extended body.
Attention and intention are the two inherent qualities of consciousness. Attention energizes and intention transforms.
Whatever you put on your attention will grow stronger in your life. Whatever attention you take away from will disintegrate or disappear.
Intention on the other hand triggers transformation of energy and information. Intention organises its own fulfilment.
The quality of intention
The quality of intention on the object of attention will produce an infinity of space-time events that bring about the outcome intended, provided one follows other spiritual laws of success.
This is because intention in the fertile ground of attention has infinite organising power. The infinite organising power means the power to organise an infinity of space-time events, all at the same time.
Where we see the infinite organising power
Our own body is the best example of infinite organising power. In the scheme of nature, everything correlates and connects with everything else.
A single cell in the human body is doing about six trillion things per second, and it has to know what every other cell is doing at the same time. Because the field of infinite correlation is part of its information field.
What is remarkable about the nervous system of the human system is that it can command this infinite organising power through conscious intent. Intent in human species has infinite flexibility.
That means, as long as we do not violate the other laws of nature, through our intent we can literally command the laws of nature to fulfil your dreams and desires.
The good intention
Intention lays the groundwork for the effortless, spontaneous, frictionless flow of pure potentiality seeking expression from the unmanifest to the manifest.
Intention is the real power behind desire. Intent alone is very powerful, because intent is desire without attachment to the outcome.
Desire alone is weak, because desire in most people is attention with attachment. Intention combined with detachment leads to life-centered, present moment awareness. When action is performed in present-moment awareness it is most effective.
We will ponder over in more detail about of the law detachment in my next article Law of Detachment
our intent is for the future, but our attention is in the present, then our intent for future will manifest, because the future is created in the present.
We must accept the present as is. Accept the present and intend the future. The future is something we can always create through detached intention, but we should never struggle against the present.
The only caution is that we use our intent for the benefit of society or mankind. This happens spontaneously when we are in alignment with all other spiritual laws of success.
The past, present and future
These are all properties of coscieness. The past is recollection, memory; the future is anticipation; the present is awareness.
Both past and future are born in the imagination; only the present, which is awareness, is real and eternal.
If you have life-centered, present-moment awareness, then the imaginary obstacles – which are more than ninety percent of perceived obstacles – disintegrate and disappear. The remaining ten or five percent perceived obstacles can be transmuted into opportunities through one-pointed intention
One-pointed Intention
One-pointed intention means holding your attention to the intended outcome with unbending purpose. You absolutely refuse to allow obstacles to consume and dissipate the focussed quality of your attention
You are able to maintain an unshakable serenity while being committed to your goal with intense passion. This is the power of detached awareness and one-pointed, focussed intention.
Learn to harness the power of intention, and we can create anything we desire. That is the Law of Intention and Desire.
But, still we can achieve or get results through effort and through trying, but at a cost. The cost is stress, heart attacks, and compromised function of your immune system.
Applying the Law of Intention and Desire
1: I will make a list of all my desires. I will look at this list (memorize) before I go into my silence and meditation.
2: I will release this list of my desires and surrender it to the womb of creation, trusting that when things don’t seem to go my way, there is a reason, and that the cosmic plan has designs for me much grander than even those that I have conceived.
3: I will remind myself to practice present-moment awareness in all my actions. I will refuse to allow obstacles to consume and dissipate the quality of my attention in the present moment. I will accept the present as it is, and manifest the future through my deepest, most cherished intentions and desires

About spiritual laws of success
I was reading an article on success, in which someone mentioned about the book called ‘The seven spiritual laws of success’ by Deepak Chopra. Till that time, I was reading a lot on how to become successful in life, how to earn money, how one should be focused towards success.
One must read this book. Even though I read it, I still spend time to ponder over deep thoughts presented by an author in the book and try to understand it.
Based upon my little understanding of what I pursued, I prepared a gist of it for you.
Hope you enjoyed the article. In the next article we will ponder over “The Law of Detachment”.
