According to mythological stories, Parijat tree was brought to earth by Lord Krishna. Parijat tree also known as night jasmine. The Parijat flower has five or six petals with a very pleasant fragrance. 

The speciality of Parijat or night jasmine flower is, it blooms in the night and falls on the ground without any external force. These are the only flowers offered to God even if they are picked from the ground.

Parijat tree is having significant Ayurvedic benefits right from root to flower. In this article let us understand how to make Parijat Tea or kashaya and its health benefits.

Required Ingredients: Parijat fresh leaves 2-3, Parijat stem 2 Inc, Parijat Flowers 2-3, Tulasi leaves 2-3, Jaggery as per the taste (if you want).

Note: If you don’t find time to get all the ingredients mentioned above, you can also make plain tea with 2-3 Parijat leaves. 

How to prepare Parijat Tea or Kashaya 

  • Take 200ml or Glass of water in a Vessel  
  • Put Parijat leaves & stem first
  • Wash all ingredients before putting into the water
  • Boil in sim for 10-15 min or water content become half (50% of actual quantity)
  • Then add remaining ingredients Tulasi leaves, Parijat Flowers & Jaggery for the taste (this step can be skipped and can inly use Parijat Leaves alone or with or without stem)
  • Allow it  to cool for room temperature and then filter & ready to drink

When to take?

  • Morning with empty stomach and keep 30 min gap after taking the tea
  • Evening before you take tea or coffee and keep 30 min gap after taking the tea

How much to take?

  • Daily once to keep yourself healthy
  • If you are having joint pain, cough-cold 2 times a day. Once you become alright, you can have daily 1 time for 15 days.
